Stopping Your SMP Is Different From Deleting It

Use ordinary power controls for a break and read deletion confirmations before permanently removing an existing world.

Use Stop for an ordinary break

Save & Stop World is the normal end-of-session control. Tell other players first, request the stop once and wait for its state to finish. A sleeping world can be started again later through its existing SMP controls.

Deletion is a different intention

The server deletion flow asks for an explicit confirmation. Use it only when you actually intend to remove that server, not when startup is slow or a friend cannot join. A confirmation message is part of the decision, not an obstacle to click through automatically.

If you are uncertain about the effect on a particular world or archive, cancel and ask support before proceeding.

Server deletion requires a deliberate confirmation, with a cancel option. Server deletion requires a deliberate confirmation, with a cancel option.

Do not use removal as recovery

For a failed start or restore, keep the existing server and its evidence. A replacement world is not a way to recover old builds.

For a temporary pause, leave or stop the server; for a permanent removal decision, read every confirmation and make that choice deliberately. Website account deletion is a separate operation.
